What you'll do:

The FCC Data Analytics Manager is responsible for assisting in developing and maintaining FCC’s analytics and data program, providing oversight and direction on data, analytics, and technology systems for FCC. This leader will be an interface with technology, assist with on-going enhancements of the BSA/AML platform and tools. This role will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining optimization of the FCC’s monitoring tools and increasing the capabilities in data visualization. The FCC Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for assisting FCC to gain and maintain efficiencies in FIU and EDD workflow, assist with staffing analyses, and will utilize innovative technologies and techniques to improve monitoring capabilities while reducing costs. The FCC Data Analytics Manager will ensure a risk-based approach in identifying and completing projects using varied research/analytical techniques, automated systems, and sources of information, while ensuring adequate support is provided on highly sensitive projects such as regulatory examination, the development/deployment of detective systems, etc. The FCC Data Analytics Manager will supervise a small team of professional staff, providing both strategic and operational direction in their assigned responsibilities as well as in the execution of large/complex projects. They should have strong relationship building skills as it is an essential aspect of their job (building the relationship between technology and the FCC teams).

What we are looking for:

Responsibilities

  • Expert in DataBricks, SAS, Python, PySpark, SQL, or other related languages.
  • Responsible for understanding and communicating effectively with the technology team.  This technical “fluency” will allow the proper leader to manage up and communicate limitations and solutions to the Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) senior leadership.
  • Drives analytical, data, and process initiatives, revolutionizing the way the bank gathers and utilizes their data. This person will be a proven leader, with an analytical/technical mindset who is able to properly articulate to senior FCC and technology leaders, the need for change and will pair detailed analytical/technical skills with a “trusted partner mindset” to affect that change.
  • Provides oversight and direction on analytics, data, technology, and supports systems delivery for FCC monitoring tools, like Actimize, and promotes a robust analytical function for risk detection, profiling, and mitigation. This includes leveraging advanced analytical techniques and innovative technologies to improve risk detection and increase operational efficiencies.
  • Familiar with model governance and enterprise modeling in a large financial institution.  Experience with remediation and management of issues.
  • Leads and develops a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development.
  • Intermediate data quality skills with Informatica or other related software.
  • Intermediate data visualization skills and presentation skills with PowerBI or comparable.


Qualifications

  • Masters or MBA in related field
  • 5+ years of related experience in BSA/AML & Financial Crimes, or similar experience
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python and experience using SAS, R, or other statistical software.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of analytical techniques and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, especially speaking and listening skills.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist certification preferred.
