We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Front Office Intern to join our hotel team and assist in supporting and enhancing the Front Office operation. In this valuable role, you will work closely with the Front Office team to perform Guest Services roles that create exceptional experiences for our guests. You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Front Office & Guest Services, including the positions of Bellperson, Star Service Agent, and Front Office Agent. Bellperson Job Duties
- Welcome and assist arriving and departing guests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Safely handle and transport luggage, baggage, and packages.
- Securely store luggage while awaiting transfer.
- Provide detailed information about room types, amenities, and hotel facilities to guests, also address guest inquiries.
- Communicate hotel emergency procedures as needed.
- Offer information about the hotel and local attractions, including travel directions; promoting hotel facilities, food and beverage outlets, and recreational programs.
- Transport guests safely to and from property areas.
- Build positive relationships with all hotel departments, Front Desk, Valet Parking, Concierge, and Housekeeping.
- Remain vigilant at your post when not assisting guests, ensuring guest safety and notify Security if necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper condition of all equipment and work areas, coordinating with Housekeeping for major cleaning tasks.
Front Office Agent Job Duties
- Greets and registers guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, assigning rooms which satisfy all special requests.
- Obtain necessary credit and payment information from the guest.
- Sell rooms in accordance with Front Desk sales strategies.
- Ensure knowledge of all banquet event orders and resumes of upcoming groups and events.
- Provide detailed information about room types, amenities, and hotel facilities to guests, also address guest inquiries.
- Provide detailed information about local attractions, including travel directions; promoting hotel facilities, food and beverage outlets, and recreational programs.
- Monitor, communicate, and respond to guest feedback to enhance service quality.
- Develops and maintains resources and contacts to ensure that hotel guests receive up to date information on a broad variety of activities and events.
- Maintains overall cleanliness and appearance of the Front Desk, and lobby area, including temperature, lighting, and music.
- Perform check-out and cash handling activities in accordance with all hotel cash handling policies and procedures.
- Handle emergencies with professionalism while ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff.
Star Service Agent Job Duties
- Operates multi-line telephone equipment to answers phone calls in a polite friendly, polite and professional manner according to Loews Standards.
- Uses computer to verify identity/room number of guest being called
- Directs calls to the appropriate extension
- Assists guests with Engineering, Valet, Front Desk, Security, Bell Desk and Housekeeping requests without transfer.
- Records messages/guest requests in appropriate program, forwards messages/requests to respective individuals or departments
- Provides accurate directions to hotel from major inbound locations
- Answers questions regarding hotel functions and facilities
- Maintains knowledge about all Hotel and area’s, events and activities.
- Receives, processes wake-up calls, and guest requests
- Handles guest complaints to completion, unless escalation is necessary
- Assists with all Front Desk related calls
- Assists with billing inquiries
- Performs room moves in coordination with Bell Staff
- Serves as communication hub during Emergency Procedures

- General knowledge of the hotel operation, previous experience in hospitality is preferred
