Purpose of the role
To provide continuous support to AIBD MOD SG KYC team, in which is a critical function to provide sustainability to the branch KYC which includes getting involved in the following key areas:
KYC MI and Reporting,
KYC Client Strategy,
KYC Change Management,
KYC Data & Vendor Management
KYC Risk and Planning Management
Primary Responsibilities
To be involved and directly part of the KYC support function team in looking after the above core support functions and continue to deliver continuous improvement initiatives to the KYC operation team.
Be involved and SME in various Local / Global KYC/AML Projects, be a champion representing SG YC, to coordinate and oversee execution of assigned strategic project deliverables for KYC Department
Support BAU governance forums, provide strategic project support, monitoring project progress, and ensuring completion within the acceptable appetite.
Build business cases that support decisions to ensure optimal solutions are based on both commercial and business requirements.
Collaborate with internal/ external partners including IT to drive and support enhancements and system improvements.
Working closely with relevant internal stakeholders to track, monitor and continuously ensure the relevant KPI/KRI is up to the Global Standard and helps drive initiatives to improvise the entire KYC deliverables through robust and transparent reporting mechanism to all local and global management.
Involved in data and vendor management process with other stakeholders as part of KYC Local/Global Projects.
To be part of Global KYC Team (GKYCO), and support the global initiatives and projects to achieve global standardization within KYC (Processes and Technology)
Ensure effective monitoring of all open Risk item while keeping track of risk issues within KYC and derive necessary themes from the assessment.
Timely completion of KYC Review to prevent KRI breaches which impact the balance scorecard for the business.
Develop relationship with Business Heads, front office staff, Financial Crime Compliance and other internal stakeholders in order to address concerns, priorities workload for the team and identify areas of risk for the bank.
To support the KYC staffs in achieving they are able to meet their KPI and expected productivity effectively.
Maintain team spirit and morale of the department.
Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time.
Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer
Job Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of corporate KYC experience within the banking / financial services industry.
Minimum 3 years of MI Reporting
Experience in vendor management
Experience in project management
Power BI or Tableau may be considered
Risk, Project and Change management skills is appreciated with minimum 5 years in KYC related role.
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Finance or Banking or Equivalent field.
Good working knowledge of financial regulatory requirements and AML risk implications; experience with regulatory and / or KYC related topics.
Accurate, diligent and the ability to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines.
