Senior Student Success Coaches play a pivotal role in supporting the academic,
personal, and professional development of students. Coaches work closely with
individuals or groups to help them overcome challenges, set goals, and achieve success throughout their educational journey. This position requires a strong commitment to holistic student success, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide guidance and coaching effectively.

Responsibilities:
● Provide individualized coaching sessions to students to assess their needs, set academic and personal goals, and develop action plans for success.
● Conduct regular check-ins with students to monitor progress, offer support, and adjust strategies as needed.
● Serve as a resource and advocate for students, connecting them with campus
resources and support services such as tutoring, counseling, and career coaching.
● Assist students in developing study skills, time management techniques, and
effective learning strategies to enhance academic performance.
● Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to identify students who may benefit from additional support and coordinate interventions as necessary.
● Organize and facilitate events, workshops, seminars, and other educational
programs focused on student success topics such as goal setting, resilience, and self-care.
● Assist students in understanding and navigating college policies and procedures including but not limited to academic monitoring, student academic progress and students wishing to return to Ivy Tech.
● Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes using designated tracking systems.
● Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in student
success coaching and higher education to continuously improve services.
● Participate in professional development activities, workshops to enhance
coaching skills and knowledge.
● Contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at
enhancing student retention, persistence, and graduation rates.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, psychology, student affairs, or a
related field. Master's degree preferred.
● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport, build
relationships, and communicate effectively with diverse student populations.
● Empathetic and compassionate approach to supporting students, with a
commitment to promoting student success and well-being.
● Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and
deadlines effectively.
● Knowledge of student development theory, counseling techniques, and holistic
student support strategies.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information with
professionalism and discretion.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience using student information
systems and CRM platforms are desirable.
● Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in student support
services.
● Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate student
schedules and campus events.

Salary: $45,000
