About The Opportunity

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk manages inbound and outbound shipments with the main objective of ensuring products are delivered and moved on time.

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
  • Report and maintain data in customer and internal system
  • Adjust inventory as required
  • Collaborate daily with production, ensuring timely delivery of product and production schedules
  • Ensure all finished goods are in SAP
  • Generate BOL’s and packing lists
  • Complete paperwork timely and accurately
  • Verify incoming/outbound quantity and needs are consistent with production requirements
  • Report all discrepancies with inbound and/or outbound loads
  • Perform daily review of produced goods and customer open orders report
  • Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of work area
  • Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
  • Scheduling freight loads through Customer’s systems on a daily basis; verify loads match in both MPC and customer’s systems
  • Reporting of load exceptions by Customer
  • Regular communication with Carriers, Customers, Project Managers and Shipping/Receiving Department
  • Participate in Daily Conference Calls with Customers regarding schedules
  • Responsible for carrier inbound and outbound performance reports by customer gather info from site updates for scorecards to be sent back to Customers
  • Maintaining the integrity of information in systems, on reports and as it’s provided to the Customer
  • SAP for MPC & Mondelez, Transplace for Kellogg’s

  • Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
  • Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
  • Ability to effectively work in teams
  • Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
  • Knowledge of logistics and inbound/outbound shipments
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping and receiving documents
  • Ability to navigate computer systems

The expected salary range for this position is $21.50/hour. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic term life, AD&D, Short- and Long-term disability; EAP; 401(k) retirement savings plan; PTO and paid holidays.
