As a Product Manager in the Process Orchestration group, you will engage with a small, talented team in developing next generation process orchestration features for our low-code process automation platform. Process orchestration is the core of the Appian platform, coordinating the activities of people, systems, and bots for complete business process automation. As a member of the Event Streaming squad, you will work with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure that Appian works seamlessly with event-driven architectures and event-streaming platforms. 

 

This role is based at Appian's development facility in Chennai, India. 

To be successful in this role, you need to:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to inform the product roadmap;
  • Engage with customers and partners to gather insights, understand use cases, and validate product concepts;
  • Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs and ensuring a customer-centric approach to product development;
  • Communicate with and convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with peers to establish quarterly and annual plans for your respective teams;
  • Define how features will work through close collaboration with engineers in design sessions, mockups, UX review, and usability testing;
  • Manage your team's backlog through planning, backlog grooming, working with developers and fellow product managers;
  • Write feature specifications for peers and stakeholders to review;
  • Ensure successful feature adoption by writing and reviewing documentation, tracking usage, and prioritizing enhancements after release.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years as a Technical Product Manager with a track record of successfully managing products that involve IAM.
  • Previous experience with identity and access management, user authentication, or any other identity provider software.
  • Imaginative, collaborative, and passionate about building great product features and experiences!

Education:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related Engineering field
