As an Imaging Staffing Resource Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the allocation and utilization of Imaging Technologists across varied modalities within our organization. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our staffing needs are met efficiently and effectively across regional areas of Akumin’s 4 wall clinic geography as well as a collaborative working environment with onsite Directors/Managers and our Remote Services team.. This role requires a keen understanding of workforce planning, resource allocation, and project management principles.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement staffing plans to support center modality needs and organizational objectives. Provide guidance and support to project teams on resource allocation and utilization best practices. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in imaging technologist management and staffing.
Collaborate with site managers and operations directors to forecast staffing needs based on staff schedules, PTO and call outs and modality appointment backlog requiring additional remote services, if available.
Monitor and manage the allocation of technologists across multiple modalities, across locations, to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.
Conduct regular assessments of personnel availability and technical skills to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate with site leaders within 4 wall clinics and remote services to address training needs and increased tech competency skills. Build and maintain relationships with external staffing agencies and vendors to supplement internal resources when needed.
Implement policies and procedures related to staff resource management, including recruitment, onboarding, and off boarding processes collaboratively with the HR department. Track and report on key metrics related to technologist management, such as utilization rates, capacity planning, and cost-effectiveness.
Position Requirements:
Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
Registered technologist with either ARRT, ARDMS, NMTCB, or ARMRIT.
Proven experience in resource management, staffing, or workforce planning, preferably in a medical imaging-based environment.
Previous knowledge of workflow practices for imaging modalities preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.

40% Travel may be required.

Bachelor's Degree.
Proficiency in workforce management software and tools preferred
Physical Requirements:
The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
