This position has an overall objective of planning and optimizing Enbridge's liquid pipeline assets for the current period and over a 10-year horizon, with a key focus on maximizing revenues, minimizing power costs, increasing customer value, and improving safety while aligning with Enbridge's commercial strategy. You will be responsible for driving risk-based economic analysis, supporting new commercial agreements and educating different partners on Enbridge business insight to drive cash flow through asset optimizations.

What Will You Do:

  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of hydraulic and financial modeling, including input assumptions for the Annual Budget, and Long-Range Forecast (LRF) of the Mainline asset.

  • Provides timely and accurate variance updates to the Annual Power Budget & LRF and develops and implements mitigation strategies to save power costs on all Liquid Pipeline Assets.

  • Provides information on system capacity bottlenecks, throughput optimizations including expansion opportunities, power risks &optimization strategies

  • Identify critical areas for power on the Liquids Pipelines assets and support development of consolidated enterprise-wide power strategies to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon footprint and minimize reliability risks.

  • Maintain energy market research on power market policy updates, prices, and regulatory trends.

  • Calculates annual toll filing power surcharges for 7 expansion agreements which is a key input in calculating Enbridge transportation rates.
     

Who You Are:

  • University degree in a related field.

  • 4 years of dynamically responsible experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.

  • Strong understanding of the energy market and pipeline industry.

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.

  • Interpersonal skills (effective written and oral communication skills), tact and diplomacy required.

  • Ability to influence partners.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAS.
     

Working Conditions:

  • Office based role.

  • Limited travel required.
