We are seeking a remarkable Senior Associate to join our high performing Commercial Litigation practice in Melbourne

The role

Our Melbourne Commercial Litigation practice currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate (0-2 years) to join their growing practice. We are seeking a strong litigator with broad general litigation experience to work closely with our Melbourne Litigation Partner Alexandra Tighe. You will join a high performing, supportive and motivated team working with significant clients across a variety of sectors.

This role has a high level of client interaction and will see you managing client relationships, shaping the strategic direction of matters, working closely with counsel, drafting advices, preparing witness and expert evidence and having carriage of final and interlocutory proceedings. The successful candidate will work closely with the supervising partner, with the opportunity to work across the team more broadly and access the expertise of other partners in the practice group.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 5 years PQE
• Demonstrated experience in a range of litigious matters and ideally experience in public inquires, regulatory proceedings and royal commissions
• Strong academic achievements
• Familiarity with Supreme/Federal Court litigation
• The ability to project manage and drive matters through to completion
• A passion for mentoring, supervising and delegating work to more junior lawyers
• A strong focus on delivering exceptional client service
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; required for building effective client relationships and contributing to a positive team environment

In addition to this, we are looking for a dynamic operator who can contribute to the success of this practice, and who is seeking to develop their career under the expert guidance of our Litigation Partner.
