Responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering services of the Employee Intervention program and on-the-job injury process. Under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager, Employee Health Services, responsible for assigned scheduled hours on a full-time basis.
Develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures for the Employee Intervention program.
Provides consultation and training in the identification, documentation, and resolution of job performance issues, including substance abuse and treatment alternatives.
Develops and promotes program awareness among employees, including program benefits, procedures, and alternatives available.
Provides clinical services for the intervention, counseling, referral, follow-up, and case management of identified troubled employees based on approved protocols.
Clinical services also include, but are not limited to appropriate collection of specimens, review of specimen results, and physical assessments.
Maintains a strict level of confidentiality regarding all employees involved in the program.
Coordinates the Employee Intervention program with the Employee Assistance Program, Department Directors, and Human Resources in the management of troubled employees.
Participates in the development of QI/QA standards, assessing regularly, and planning activities to ensure quality services.
Case manages the on-the-job injury program; provides appropriate assessment and treatment of job-related injuries/illnesses/exposures while ordering diagnostic screenings, labs, and x-rays as defined by departmental protocols.
Under the Medical Director’s guidance, makes referrals for additional treatment, tests, and screenings.
Responsible for tracking and trending on the job injuries and illnesses under the guidance of the Clinical Manager, Employee Health Services.
Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
EDUCATION: Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of Tennessee.
EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in current nursing practice and techniques as normally acquired through at least 3-5 years of continuous or current clinical experience. Prior management experience preferred. Prior experience in mental health nursing desirable.
