General Information:

Health & Safety consists of performing various duties to promote and ensure the health and safety of employees, protecting them from accidents and environmental hazards and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Perform a variety of HSE duties following general approach specified by supervisor. Assist in administering HSE programs and policies. Advise managers regarding occupational health issues and suggest measures to improve HSE practices.

Responsible for providing comprehensive professional occupational health care to employees in accordance with established medical procedures, professional standards and written protocols.

Perform backup duties for Industrial Occupational Health Nurse 1st and 2nd shift as needed.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional care and render treatment for occupational and non-occupational illnesses/injuries per standing protocols. Consult and cooperate with management in health-related matters.
  • Ability to manage follow up appointments for injured or ill employees from all shifts.
  • Initiates and maintains hearing conservation, vision, and respiratory programs.
  • Collaborates with process engineering and manufacturing management on ergonomics and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Maintain site electronic HSE tracking system (Intelex).
  • Always maintain employee confidentiality.
  • Perform medical evaluations as well as eye exams for employees. Perform first aid treatment for workplace injuries within your scope of practice.
  • Provides a line of communication and refers employees to appropriate services for additional assessment as needed.
  • Perform other medical/occupational/HSE functions as assigned.

Your Requirements:

  • Required license or certification: CPR, AED, FIRST AID certification. Unencumbered CNA, CMT, Paramedic, LPN
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Qualifications:  1 or more year of nursing or healthcare experience.   Industrial environment experience preferred. Occupational Health experience preferred.
