The Sr. Manager, PCT License Market Development will lead strategic market development initiatives to accelerate BRAHMS Procalcitonin (PCT) growth in China through close collaboration with License Partners, global product management, business leadership, and cross-functional commercial teams. This role is responsible for driving clinical adoption, strengthening market positioning, supporting reimbursement and guideline initiatives, and enabling long-term sustainable growth for PCT across key clinical indications. The successful candidate will serve as the primary strategic marketing lead for China PCT License Partner engagement, helping shape and execute localized growth strategies aligned with global objectives and regional market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Development
• Champion the development and execution of the China PCT growth acceleration strategy in collaboration with global product management, business leadership, and China License Partners. • Lead product and market development strategies with License Partners to drive increased BRAHMS PCT clinical utilization, brand loyalty, market share, and price stability.
• Act as the key contact for PCT License Partners in China, responsible for planning and implementation of the License Partner collaboration model and partner-specific growth strategies. • Track and identify growth opportunities related to PCT clinical claims, reimbursement, KOL network expansion, local evidence generation, and guideline development across key PCT indications.
Marketing Strategy & Execution
• Develop and execute annual marketing plans targeting key stakeholders influencing PCT utilization, including policymakers, hospital management, laboratory leadership, and clinicians.
• Develop marketing collateral leveraging local market evidence and adapt global marketing materials to meet regional market needs.
• Closely monitor healthcare policy changes impacting PCT and proactively identify associated risks and growth opportunities, proposing mitigation or activation plans as appropriate.
• Drive effective collaboration with Business Unit Clinical Marketing, Global License Partner Management, and Division Marketing teams to ensure successful execution of STRAP-aligned initiatives and the China PCT marketing plan.
Clinical & Scientific Development
• Lead initiatives for local KOL development and evidence generation aligned with the China growth strategy.
• Collaborate with selected KOLs, medical societies, and advocacy groups to support guideline adoption, awareness, and clinical education initiatives.
• Maintain strong alignment with the Clinical Demand team to deliver targeted value propositions and educational initiatives to customers and License Partner field teams.
• Support execution of the PCT clinical demand model, including development and delivery of sales training materials, marketing education content, and sharing of best practices across target segments.
Business Planning & Performance Management
• Support financial processes including forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and STRAP 5-year planning activities for the China market in alignment with Business Unit and divisional processes.
• Collect, analyze, and communicate market and partner intelligence to support strategic decision making and performance tracking.
• Define and monitor KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness, market growth, and License Partner execution.
Required Skills & Experience
• Deep understanding of the IVD or life sciences market; immunoassay experience strongly preferred.
• Strong experience in partnership and channel management, including execution of collaboration models with external partners.
• Demonstrated success in marketing or product management with strong program delivery capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong project management capabilities, attention to detail, time management, and deadline-driven execution.
• Experience collecting and analyzing market and partner intelligence and developing/reporting KPIs.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Chinese language proficiency is mandatory for effective stakeholder engagement within China. Education
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Advanced degree preferred, including a Masters degree in a relevant business discipline or a PhD in Science, Medicine, or related field.
Travel Requirements
• Ability to travel regularly within China. • Occasional international travel required for global alignment and business collaboration.
