A Day in the Life

We are currently seeking a Technical Consultant to work in close partnership with the Diabetes Territory Manager to achieve regional business objectives and financial targets. In this role, you will provide technical and educational support across the sales territory to accelerate the safe and effective adoption of Medtronic insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems.

This role covers the North West territory, therefore candidates must be based in the region and comfortable with regular travel, including occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Supporting the Diabetes Territory Manager to drive account independence and sales growth through a structured support and education programme

  • Delivering high-quality technical and disease education to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients

  • Co-supporting HCPs during patient training sessions for individuals initiating therapy on Medtronic systems

  • Supporting relevant local and national educational courses and events

  • Developing and supporting patient retention initiatives, such as troubleshooting workshops and post-training support, in line with business requirements

  • Ensuring compliance with sales administration processes, including maintaining accurate CRM records and logging daily activities

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and patients

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to act proactively to achieve both clinical and business objectives

  • Basic IT proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Full, valid driving licence
