Job Description

You will be accountable for qualifying inbound leads, cold calling, networking, and other methods of producing interest from potential customers. You will design communication plans to qualify prospects into potential customers. You will work directly with marketing, technical staff, sales executives, and sales management to ensure that you are providing a high-quality experience for all prospects and helping interested organizations understand how to use OTTO in their business.  You will report to Manager, Business Development. The Job location is Kitchener, ON.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage, qualify and nurture the inbound lead flow to determine if they meet the appropriate qualification criteria to be transferred to the sales team
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop outbound lead generation campaigns and design lead capture and nurture processes
  • Generate demand by building targeted lists for outreach
  • Manage relationships leads that are being nurtured
  • Provide feedback on the quality of leads being generated regularly. Collaborate with the team on how quality can be improved.
  • Follow-up with the sales team on converted leads to track status and quality of the leads as they move through the sales cycle for quality and conversion rates
  • Own lead data Accuracy in systems
  • Report on key metrics on a regular basis that measure the effectiveness of the process.
  • BDRs are evaluated on the number of qualified leads they move through the pipeline
  • Research and cultivate an accurate perception of our mission and goals
  • Attend industry functions, including conferences and association events, and contribute information and feedback on upcoming market trends

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of BD or Retail Sales Experience

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Experience responding to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests
  • Ability to handle pressures and meet deadlines
  • Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities
  • Experience creating detailed demos that are tailored to customers' pain points and data accuracy
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and current events
  • Working knowledge of Lead generation process and implementation of those processes in a technology stack (Salesforce.com a must)
