About the role

HP is on a journey to continue to transform our business and drive growth across several key pillars. At the heart of that strategy is a focus on growing our Consumer Services and Solutions (CSS) business. We have a strong value proposition in our Print and PS services business today and we continue to leverage learnings from across the portfolio to drive growth of the existing business across Print and Personal Systems (PS) and bring new services to market.

The CSS team is seeking a Country Business Manager to execute plans and strategy to meet our immediate Digital Services (Carepacks, Smart Friend, etc.) growth targets for Print and PS Services in India. In the longer term, this position is expected to rollout, manage & grow future CSS portfolio, for example, Instant Services, Device-as-Service or unique consumer services designed for the designated market(s). The ideal candidate will have in-depth Channel and Category GTM experience and will be able to navigate markets of this scale and scope.  In this role you will collaborate with key stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Category, Omnichannel) to identify opportunities across the markets and with specific accounts to deliver on transactional and subscription revenue, and operating plan metrics.

This role requires an understanding of the market landscape and HP’s Digital Services portfolio to manage existing business, execute growth plans, and drive adoption of new services in the market. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Heads the CSS business in designated country.
  • Immediate term - manages HP’s existing Digital Services (Carepack, Smart Friend, etc.) business across Print and PS while evolving and scaling that business as we growth our services portfolio in India.
  • Executes short and mid-term plans to achieve market growth, revenue, and operating profit goals by growing Consumer services attach and penetration rates to hardware sales. This involves account specific growth plans for strategic partners, actively leading definition of India business plans.
  • Develops strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Category, Omnichannel) to position HP to grow the business.
  • Leads business development for entire CSS portfolio in key Digital Services channels India for both direct and indirect, bundles and standalone sales.
  • Plays a leadership role on all Digital Services topics within the team and serves as the Digital Services Subject Matter Expert, supporting teammates as needed to facilitate discussions with their accounts.
  • Leads all business development efforts in India and explores new growth opportunities.
  • Mid-Long term – leads business development in India and/or any other designated market(s) for broader CSS portfolio such as Instant Services, Device-as-a-Service and unique consumer services programs.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in category management, P&L management, or a related field.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated mastery of the Print and PC services category, business management and sales challenges and strategies.
  • Knowledge of Services and Solutions industry and Subscriptions business model
  • Understanding of HP Consumer go-to-market and the role the channel plays in HP's success. Experience with Retail & Online business models and execution.
  • Strong financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable managing complex business planning and reporting.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills across a variety of HP Internal and External audiences. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and work collaboratively to execute joint plans.
  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
  • Proficiency in Hindi or any market local language and English
  • Experience in strategic business-to-business (B2B) development.
