The Role & What You Will Be Doing

The Global Supply Chain Analytics team provide insights, reporting, KPIs and general support to Supply Chain functions, designing and implementing Business Intelligence systems for the collection, management, analysis, and visualization of data.

The SQL Server Developer will play a critical role in automating reporting processes for Sales and Operations Planning and facilitating the migration of our database systems to Azure. This contract position requires expertise in SQL Server, data integration, and Azure Synapse.

• Collaborate with S&OP analysts to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.

• Lead S&OP automation-related projects from inception through completion, ensuring timely delivery.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize database structures to support the S&OP reporting requirements.

• Work closely with Power Platform and PowerBI developers for integration of user feedback throughout S&OP cycles and for integrated reporting.

• Maintain ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading for reports.

• Support planning and execution of the migration of on-premises SQL Server databases to Microsoft Azure Synapse.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, architectures, and processes.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for an experienced candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, be technically skilled with the Microsoft BI Stack and have good communication skills.

• Strong SQL language skills (SQL Server)

• Knowledge and understanding of data modeling and data design, e.g. fact and dimension tables, snowflake and star schema, etc.

• Relevant hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Modeler, Analytics Engineer, or BI Developer

• Strong experience in data analysis, data profiling, cleansing, standardization

• Solid Excel skills and data analysis skills
