About the Role

This position is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, design, and process engineers, to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products. The ideal candidate will ensure all processes are cost-effective, repeatable, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the NPI and mass production stages.

What You Will Do

  • To work with mechanical engineer team, ensure that products meet the purposes for which they are designed and satisfy those requirements. Develop assembly and manufacturing processes that are repeatable, meet all product design requirements and are cost effective.
  • To work with mechanical engineer team and process engineers to develop the equipment for new products during NPI stage, they are repeatable within manufacturing and safety requirements.
  • To work with design team to assess DFM in NPI stage, perform all required sample/test builds to ensure new product of quality, cost, ECR and on time delivery.
  • Develop and introduce WI in accordance with the process. Work with PQE and cell team to ensure that all Work Instruction meet the process design intent.
  • Besides designing new processes, also improve the present manufacturing or production processes to boost productivity, quality, and profitability for the company.
  • Equipment maintenance daily, weekly, monthly to ensure production running smoothly.
  • Lead the scrap reduction solution in MP phrase.
  • Provide technical advice and support to other departments.
  • Other tasks assigned by superior.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Education background:

1. College degree or above in engineering or related field.

  • Professional knowledge/Skill/Quality:

1. Analytical skills and problem-solving skills are required;

2. Basic knowledge on engineering drawings.

  • Working experience:

1. At least 1 year’s relevant experience in an Engineering function in the manufacturing industry.

  • Others:

1. Good command of Chinese and basic English is required;

2. Good command of office software operation such as Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
