Job Summary
Effective and consistent oversee the daily operations of Material Handling. Assist Supply Chain Manager with the procurement of items as assigned to meet Warehouse needs. To consistently achieve factory goals, through effective management of the group of workers engaged in lifting, transporting, and loading materials for storage and production requirements. To ensure all material handling activities are met while always maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality. This will be achieved by determining work procedures, preparing work schedules, expediting workflow. This position will be responsible for ensuring the material handling team are trained, effectively managed, through having clear knowledge and understanding of requirements, expectation, and attention to detail. Oversees Pre-Staging Area (PSA) cycle count program and monitoring the inventory levels to support operations.
Position Responsibilities
· Manages and coordinates warehouse material handling operations daily activities.
· Coordinate material located in external warehouse to ensure the availability of material for the production lines as needed to meet plant and corporate objectives.
· Enforces the plant's safety program including good GMP's, warehouse safety projects, and drives a safe workplace at all times. Monitors warehousing area and employees to eliminate work hazards and unsafe acts. Trains individuals on safety procedures, specifically forklift and hand jack operation, loading, unloading and trailer operation.
· Hold people accountable for their jobs by issuing disciplines related to behavior, job performance or safety violations where necessary in compliance with collective bargaining agreement.
· Ensure that all packaging and raw materials are properly rotated on a First Expired First Out (FEFO) basis.
· Facilitates the counting processes for the site related to continuous cycle counting, adhoc counts, and inventory accuracy reporting and monitoring. Responsible for assigning work to the team to ensure count schedule compliance. Execute inventory health checks and PSA reconciliations. Investigate PSA inventory discrepancies. Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.
· Plans and prepares production / packaging schedules to ensure a controlled production flow to meet customer requirements as well as protecting inventory goals.
· Consistently looks for continuous improvement and more efficient ways to improve the scheduling process. Create and implement continuous improvement plans for material handling and inventory processing.
· Drive initiatives to reduce cost through labor controls, damage reduction, implementation of new methods and tools to improve productivity. Find root cause and solution to problems.
· Create work schedules of employees to maintain consistent skill coverage across all shifts.
· Assign work to team members as needed such as master sanitation schedule, inventory cycle count, etc.
· Understand the process of Materials Handling, including receiving, storage, material transfers, supply material to the production lines, return from production lines to warehouse, FEFO, tempering/ thawing, SAP function, RF system operation, and production schedules.
· Be visible and accommodating to guide, coach, train and monitor team progress.
· Communicate with Operation Team, Quality Team and Supply Chain Team as appropriate to ensure smooth operation and timely resolution of any issues.
· Instill a sense of urgency within the team to accomplish goals and tasks.
· Ensure team members are properly trained. Plan/Execute/Follow Through/Inspect what you Expect.
· You are responsible for material handling results: safety, quality, efficiency, cost, and waste. Keep the team informed of results.
· Ensure effective shift hand over between team members that all issues are reported effectively.
· Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:
Annual Base Salary: $64,480.00 - $85,000.00The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
