American Health Technology Group (“AHTG”) is a rapidly growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company based in Oklahoma City, OK. AHTG is part of a larger group of companies collectively known as American Health Staffing Group (AHSG) which is a portfolio company of Littlejohn and Co. AHTG currently has two SaaS products which have disrupted the Healthcare Workforce Management Industry since launching in 2018, resulting in rapid growth and achieving profitability within 24 months of launch.

In this role, you will join our team reporting to the Data & Analytics Manager. Over the past 4 years, the Data & Analytics team has designed and built one of the industry’s largest dbt Core implementations using Fivetran, Snowflake, Azure and Power BI for embedded analytics in our SaaS products. The team has also delivered a data-as-a-service (DaaS) product to facilitate data integration and new revenue streams.

In the AHTG Data & Analytics team, we make smart decisions that enable us to do a lot with a little. We have a high value for good architecture, code design, UX and automating processes. We expect our team to utilize software engineering principles of DRY, Single-Responsibility and modularity in our everyday thinking and design work. We harness automation, CI/CD and consistent coding standards to scale our capabilities. We rely on each team member to do their part while collectively owning the success or failure of the solutions we deliver.

In joining the team, you would collaborate with the team and stakeholders to architect, implement, test, deploy, support and market our data and analytics solutions. This role offers significant influence over the product roadmap, engagement with stakeholders, creative freedom, and a high level of individual responsibility.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan and work with the data team and other teams in 2-week sprints, quarterly cross-team PI planning events utilizing agile values, principles, and practices.

  • Create analytics mockups for Power BI and facilitate requirements gathering discussions with stakeholders to define product roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with data & analytics engineers, product owners, software engineers, sales, and other business stakeholders to improve data and analytics capabilities.

  • Conduct detailed data analyses in SQL and Power BI to understand data and resolve issues.

  • Design data models based on Star and Snowflake schemas to support our analytics capabilities.

  • Design and build embedded and stand-alone Power BI analytics user experiences that deliver cohesive insights into operational performance to SaaS customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Influence the data product roadmap and co-create new analytics data products for the healthcare staffing market.

  • Create and manage analytics-related Azure services and Power BI Embedded Capacity SKUs for automated data refreshes, resource scaling, and cost management.

  • Improve analytics tooling and infrastructure performance through optimization and monitoring.

  • Support and improve team DevOps processes.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

  • 3+ years of hands-on data analysis, data transformation, and BI/report development experience using Power BI

  • Software engineering habits and personal practices that exhibit analytical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, curiosity, creativity, an intrinsic motivation, and a readiness to ask questions, share opinions, and learn in a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain, discuss and question abstract ideas with a variety of audiences.

  • Hands-on experience designing aesthetically pleasing and efficient user experiences.

  • Proven experience developing enterprise-grade analytics with Power BI, DAX, M.

  • Experienced technical troubleshooting skills – particularly in Power BI.

  • Intermediate SQL and data analysis skills.

  • Experience designing and working with relational and dimensional data models in Power BI to optimize performance and use of filters, measures, and calculated values.

  • Systems-level thinking that informs design, planning, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • A passion to get things done efficiently and with technical excellence.

Preferred:

  • 1+ years hands-on experience building data transformations with dbt (Core or Cloud).

  • Power BI DevOps development approach using pbi-tools.

  • Experience and knowledge of how to tune Power BI internals such as Vertipaq with tools like DAX Studio and Tabular Editor.

  • Familiarity with source code management with Git.

  • Experience building software products in a collaborative Agile and DevOps-oriented team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical (IT, Engineering, Computer Science, etc) field

Salary: $70,000 - $110,000
