Our business is growing much faster than we can find and hire ‘A-players’ to join us. So, rather than asking people to wait for specific needs to come up, we thought we’d give you the opportunity to get in touch with us whenever suits you.

What We’re Looking For

This is an open application, but we look for folks in three areas. If you’re looking for more detail, have a look at our current or recent openings.

  • Engineering: high-performing engineers of any level to help us solve more of our customers’ problems. We are looking for folks who are excited about designing elegant technical solutions and shipping great code frequently.

  • Sales: experienced sellers who know how to run a software sales pipeline and early career SDRs/ BDRs. Or, other functional experts and folks who can build and run a sales motion - marketing, partnerships, GTM strategy/ operations.

  • Operations: people who want to get their hands dirty: detail-oriented folks who crush a large number of tasks, as well as business operations/ executive operations professionals.

  • Scrappy and creative: when faced with an obstacle, you will either overcome it by pure determination (i.e., by hand), or find an unconventional approach or ‘hack’ to navigate it.

Hiring Process

The process varies by role, but in general we follow this format:

  • 1 or 2 initial ‘get to know you’ conversations

  • Take-home challenge - a task which roughly represents the work we would expect from you

  • Team interviews - 2-3 hours in-person, mix of skills-based and behavioral interviews

  • Final round CEO interview - mostly focused on fit

  • References

  • At Heron, we use the latest advances in AI and LLMs to automate document-heavy workflows. Our largest product automates underwriting for small business lenders and other specialty finance companies. We eliminate cumbersome manual processes and enable our customers to provide credit with much greater speed, precision, and fairness.
