This role is a part of our Core Banking Product Crew within Retail Technology. We are responsible for leading our retail end-to-end digital-first customer experience strategy, driving innovation, improving customer engagement and creating new business opportunities
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define product vision, goals and roadmap, aligned to Crew objectives and purpose, and engage with key stakeholders (Business and Technology) to manage its delivery.
- Accountable for end-to-end value delivery and product lifecycle management (including managing requirements lifecycle, production deployment and release day coordination and sign off). Works with the squad and the crew to determine who is best to perform change request and delivery framework related administrative tasks.
- Act as the voice of the customer and business and translate this for the squad.
- Apply expertise to support prioritisation, balance trade-offs, and explore strategies to successfully achieve business and customer outcomes.
- Accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations.
- Drive product exploration (e.g. using design thinking and analytics) and formulate hypotheses to validate product strategy / design.
- Identify, articulate and manage risks, dependencies and compliance across streams of work e.g. customer propositions.
- Maintain a healthy and prioritised backlog to deliver business and customer outcomes.
- Manage senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation is understood and agreed to.
- Manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking, etc.
- Drive squad effectiveness and agile maturity i.e. sprint burn down, release burn up, and squad/team health in partnership with Agile Coaches and Performance Leads.
Essential Skills
- Required 15+ years of relevant experience
- Performs design thinking tasks and initiatives following established guidelines.
- Compiles, catalogues, and documents the data collected in design thinking processes, such as personas. Presents prototypes to sponsor users and makes suggestions based on the feedback. Adheres to standard design thinking processes to design specific products and services. Evaluates the effects and performance of design thinking methods under supervision.
- Identifies the root cause of a problem, using fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools.
- Works collaboratively to analyse risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtains decisions on resolution.
- Resolves moderately complex problems within own sphere of influence or accountability.

- Uses prototyping tools to develop technical designs from product requirements. Participates in model reviews and walk-through. Gathers and records information needed to build models. Analyses the benefits and challenges of prototyping throughout the developmental process. Assists in rapid prototyping projects for a specific product.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology or any similar stream
