What You Will Do:

  • The CNC Operator will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

  • Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine

  • Maintain quality and safety standards

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and standing or walking in the work area for most of the day is a requirement of the job.

  • Must be a reliable worker with good work references, including a good attendance history, and must work required over time during times of increased business.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent education and/or experience.

  • 2 years of successful manufacturing shop employment experience.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Good computer skills

  • Basic math skills and the ability to read blueprints

  • Must be able to read and comprehend manufacturing documents, blueprints, and other company publications related to the job and all safety notifications

  • Knowledge of CNC machine tools

  • Use of micrometers, calipers, and other common shop tools

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Commitment to work overtime as needed

  • Maintain appropriate levels of daily attendance, initiative and productivity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine tools

Physical Demands:  

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds and standing or walking in the work area for most of the day is a requirement of the job.

  • Stand for up to 8 hours or more.

  • Perform repetitive motions throughout process.

  • Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
