Job Summary:
The Senior Transport Planning Supervisor is responsible for leading and optimizing pickup execution, placard compliance, and LabPort operational performance within the managed transportation network. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant pickup visibility across laboratory and healthcare logistics flows, with a strong emphasis on exception prevention, data integrity, and carrier accountability.
The position oversees daily operations related to pickup placard generation, validation, and execution, as well as LabPort performance management, ensuring adherence to customer SLAs, regulatory requirements, and UPS Healthcare quality standards. The Supervisor partners cross‑functionally with operations, carriers, LabPort teams, and customers to proactively identify risks, resolve systemic issues, and drive continuous improvement.
This leader manages and develops a team responsible for standardized transportation processes, leveraging analytics, transportation management systems (MxTMS), and operational dashboards to improve pickup reliability, reduce service failures, and enhance end‑to‑end shipment visibility. The role plays a critical part in escalation management, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action execution, ensuring sustainable performance improvements across the network.
