Overview

Permanent Way (P-Way) forms a core component of the Rail & Transit division within AtkinsRéalis’ Transportation business. It is a dynamic and forward-thinking team dedicated to shaping the future of rail infrastructure.

We support clients across the UK, Canada, Middle East, and ANZ regions, delivering high-quality engineering solutions. The team combines a strong mix of experienced professionals and emerging talent, fostering a culture of diversity, collaboration, and balanced representation.

Your role

• Basic proficiency in track design and drafting tools in AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Able to work on excel data entry, validation, and quality checks.
• Support ad-hoc activities and tasks as assigned by team leads or managers.
• Ensure timely completion under senior’s guidance.
• Collaborate with internal team and communicate effectively with stakeholders where required.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Understanding of track geometric design standards or comparable linear infrastructure design standards.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to prepare technical reports based on engineering inputs and analyses.
• Self-motivated, proactive learner with a strong desire to develop professionally within the engineering discipline.
