The Market Access Healthcare Transformation, Enterprise Account Director is a highly visible role within the Market Access Enterprise Accounts team, reporting to the VP of Market Access Enterprise Accounts. This role will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with emerging access accounts (payers / PBMs) such as Amazon, Flipt, Cost Plus, etc. and driving transformative models with the evolving market (private label, direct to patient, etc).  This individual will need to identify the highest portfolio / brand / above brand opportunity for GSK to transform healthcare / patient delivery within the evolving landscape.

  • Identify trends with emerging access organizations and assess comprehensive impact to GSK as well as opportunities for Innovative Account engagement
  • Foster relationships with identified access account targets and develop a strategic business case for potential engagements
  • Ensure the success and alignment of GSK’s entire portfolio with emerging access accounts (such as Amazon, Flipt, Cost Plus, among others), with primary focus on strategic brands including Zejula, Blenrep, Jemperli, Nucala, Benlysta, Trelegy, Anoro, and Shingrix, in addition to products that will be approved / launched in the future
  • Lead Innovative Accounts strategy in alignment with the development of Strategic Account Plans, by focusing on short (12-24 Months) and long term (2+ Years) strategic engagement and partnership objectives. Plans will include patient access objectives, gross to net targets including P&L within each account and will outline overall strategic engagement and partnership plans
  • Establish alignment across internal GSK stakeholders to enable optimal coordination of access account engagement so the full value of GSK’s offerings can be realized
  • Lead and influence Market Access strategies as aligned to in-line portfolio or launch assets as aligned to the evolving market. 
  • Design innovative frameworks and strategies that optimize care.
  • Build and cultivate influential relationships with key Innovative Account influencers including at the C-Suite level as well as leaders across each line of business within the access account
  • Lead in your role by investing in broader MA Enterprise Account team/individual capabilities- building for current and future needs, including attracting, identifying and developing a diverse talent pool for Market Access team
  • Set the tone and culture of the broader MA Enterprise Account by being the ‘face of GSK’; role model GSK Expectations and manage change by leading through transitions with inspiration, and high engagement. Identify and manage risks, while allocating resources and executing on priorities and ensure compliance across the team

Basic Qualifications:

Along with a demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and a results-oriented mindset, we are looking for professionals with these skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree - BA/BS required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 + years of account management and/or leadership experience in biotech / pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum of 3+ years Market Access experience and successful track record with large accounts, healthcare systems, national payers and/or regional payers.
  • Minimum of 3+ experience in strategy in pipeline and /or in line product launches.
  • There will be 40% nationwide travel in this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA preferred
  • Field sales management experience preferred
  • Strong financial background and analytical skills
