Description:

Clinical Triage Specialist – Access to Care – Full Time – Days – 7th Avenue

In this position, the Clinical Triage Specialist is responsible for providing clinical triage to practices supported by the NYP Sphere contact center. You will work collaboratively with the contact center Patient Financial Advisors, contact center leadership, practice(s) leadership, and clinical and non-clinical teams.

You will provide therapeutic advice to all specified patients; conduct assessments over the phone utilizing appropriate clinical triage protocols and obtain pertinent information relative to the patients’ health and situation; book appointments for patient evaluation; and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

This is a full time, days position located at our 463 7th Avenue Contact Center.

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Valid New York State Nursing License
  • Effective in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information according to internal policies
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines, prioritize work and be able to work independently
  • Ability to work with technology as necessary to complete the job effectively

Preferred Criteria:

  • Master’s degree
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Previous healthcare operations experience
  • Epic EHR experience
