Agropur is looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join its team in St-Hubert.

The Data Governance Analyst plays a key role in defining, implementing, and sustaining the organization’s data governance framework. The position contributes to effective data management and value creation across the organization.

The Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for defining and deploying policies, strengthening data literacy culture, and reviewing the organizational structure responsible for data, while ensuring the integration of data governance into our operations and future initiatives.

What this role involves:

More specifically, the responsibilities of the Data Governance Analyst are:

  • Define and implement data governance policies (quality, security, compliance) with the goal of optimizing and clarifying the roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders involved in data governance.

  • Identify and oversee the key individuals in the organization who will be responsible for their respective data domains.

  • Define and maintain data management standards and procedures.

  • Review, clarify, and optimize the structure of data ownership roles.

  • Develop and promote data literacy initiatives across the organization through training and communication, in collaboration with the change management team.

  • Deploy governance frameworks aligned with best practices.

  • Establish performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of governance.

  • Collaborate with all other analysts within the organizational data center to ensure standardization and global alignment across the department regarding data governance.

  • Understand and adhere to good manufacturing practices.

 

What you need to join our team:

· University degree in computer science, information management, data science, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in data governance or information management
• Knowledge of Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, and data quality and security concepts
• Excellent communication and simplification skills, in French and English
• Leadership, rigor, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels
• Knowledge of the SAP environment (an asset)

Qualifications:

Education Required :

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience Required :

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in data governance or information management.

Certification/Licensure Required :

  • None

Skills Required :

  • Knowledge of data ownership concepts, data stewardship, and data quality and security principles.
  • Excellent communication and ability to translate complex concepts into plain language.
  • Strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at different organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of the SAP environment.
