The Packaging Technician will carry out day-to-day packaging activities at the Dublin facility, ensuring that all work is completed safely, in line with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role plays a key part in protecting patient safety and product quality, while representing Alexion’s interests, objectives and policies in a professional and responsible manner. Working within a fast-paced environment, the Packaging Technician helps keep vital medicines moving to patients who depend on them!
Support and maintain up-to-date training on all relevant equipment, processes, facility and safety procedures, ensuring readiness for daily operations and inspections.
Execute routine packaging activities to meet production schedules, maintaining strong cGMP compliance and attention to detail.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying compliance or efficiency gaps and helping to implement practical solutions.
Take initiative in daily tasks, managing workload effectively and escalating issues when needed.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving operational issues during packaging runs to minimise downtime and protect product quality.
Draft and revise standard operating procedures and master batch records, ensuring documentation is accurate, clear and compliant.
Participate in deviation investigations and support timely closure with robust root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects, from idea generation through to implementation of approved changes.
Support regulatory licensure activities, including preparation for and participation in agency inspections and internal audits.
Carry out any additional tasks or duties assigned by the Area Supervisor to support team and site objectives.
