Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee security programs for a variety of IT products, systems, and networks, including both small and large-scale, complex environments.

  • Ensure that security records are meticulously maintained and up-to-date.

  • Implement and disseminate security updates and patches as needed.

  • Brief staff on security policies, procedures, and updates to ensure proper understanding and adherence.

  • Coordinate with organizational security teams to ensure consistency and compliance with all security requirements.

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of organizational and agency-level security requirements and ensure systems and personnel adhere to these standards.

  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard IT assets and information.

  • Provide guidance and support on security-related issues and incidents.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of (FIVE) 5 years of proven experience managing security programs for diverse IT products, systems, and networks, both small and large-scale, complex environments.

  • Requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science

  • Ability to ensure maintenance of security records, dissemination of security updates, and proper staff briefings.

  • Experience coordinating with organizational security teams to maintain program consistency and compliance with security requirements.
    In-depth knowledge of organizational and agency-level security requirements and standards.

  • Strong understanding of security policies, standards, and procedures.

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills for briefing staff and coordinating with security teams.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to assess security risks and implement solutions.

  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $86,500.00-$129,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
