Scope of Work

Under minimal direction, coordinates a program or service within designated pharmacy areas. Functions mostly independently in decision making with limited guidance. Performs Quality Assurance activities and projects as assigned. Maintains department records and assigned departmental/institutional programs. May interact with other departments and/or businesses outside of Corewell Health System. Enhanced knowledge of area assigned above and beyond technician responsibilities.

  • Coordinates area of assigned responsibility within the pharmacy department.
  • Assumes ownership and ensures quality and completeness of work assigned.
  • Participates in assigned group work or committees.
  • Responsible for data collection and/or reporting related to assigned area/project.
  • Serves as a role model and leader in the department.
  • Escalates any concerns that are identified in their area of work through chain of command.
  • Involved with business operations and/or department compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of four years of pharmacy experience. Required
  • LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • Ideal candidate will be a Pharmacy Technician possessing Full Pharmacy Technician License and National Certification, such as PTCB or ExCPT
  • Ideal candidate will also possess a Teaching or Pharmacy Education background
  • Ideal candidate will excel and have a passion for the following responsibilities, specific to this role, but not limited to, the following:
  • 1. Serving as a program instructor for the Corewell Health Academy of Pharmacy Technicians
  • 2. Serving as an instructor and liaison with the pharmacy technician training class at Innovations High School
  • 3. Developing and delivering content for the Corewell Health Pharmacy System Orientation
  • Primary Schedule is 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but based on certain meetings, schedule may start at 6 a.m. or end at 7 p.m. with Shifts usually being 8.5 Hrs.
  • This is a Monday to Friday Position, No Weekends, No Holidays
