Who You’ll Work With:

AllianceBernstein (AB) is seeking a Community and Belonging Operations Specialist. Someone who is collaborative and highly organized individual to join our Global Community and Belonging Team. This role will support AB’s global community engagement strategy, aiding in philanthropic and charitable initiatives, volunteering, civic engagement, and nonprofit board participation, and global belonging strategy, which includes programmatic and administrative support for Employee Resource Groups and Employee Wellness Groups. A successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing the vision of the Community & Belonging Team by fostering an inclusive culture that empowers employees to achieve their full potential while creating meaningful opportunities for employees to positively impact their communities. In short, this role is best suited for a servant leader with excellent organizational skills. 

This position is based in Nashville, TN with a Hybrid schedule (4 days in-office, 1 day remote). Home to AB’s headquarters and a hub for our community and civic engagement efforts. The VP will collaborate closely with regional leaders in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific), as well as internal stakeholders across all various SBUs, including people, marketing, legal, and client-facing teams. 

What You’ll Do:

Program Management and Operations 

  • Produce monthly reporting on AB Gives Back, Employee Resource Group and Employee Wellness Group activities, e.g. number of employee volunteer hours served, grant dollars spent, number of attendees, etc. 

  • Process outbound payments for Community and Belonging Team, including grant disbursement and vendor payment, liaising with internal Finance Team as appropriate 

  • Manage Deed (employee volunteer and charitable giving platform) dashboard and  

  • Coordinate US-based volunteering opportunities 

  • Execute approval and troubleshooting of employee gift matching program. 

Administrative Team Support 

  • Support Director of Community Engagement and Global Head of Community and Belonging with organizing external and internal touchpoints as needed 

  • Record and manage team meeting notes and team deliverables & deadlines 

  • Monitor team inboxes 

  • Support team event logistics, liaising with global events team as needed 

  • As needed, conduct due diligence on potential or current nonprofit partners and/or vendors 

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, civic institutions, and internal stakeholders. 

  • As needed, prepare and disseminate materials for internal and/or external stakeholders to drive decision making and/or to inform key audiences. 

  • Serve as a cultural ambassador and advocate for AB’s purpose-driven initiatives internally and externally.  

  • Attend community events as a representative of the firm, and, when applicable, invite colleagues to attend as well 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Policy, Social Impact, Business, Communications, Sociology, Humanities) or equivalent professional experiences 

  • 2-3 years of experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, and/or project management etc. 

  • Strong track record of collaboration across departments and with external partners. 

  • Ability to manage global programs and people while navigating important cultural nuances. 

  • High ethical standards and professional integrity. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint). 

  • Ability to quickly adopt new technologies, including AI tools and platforms.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through and initiative
