Main Duties
The Capability Programme Manager is responsible for leading the delivery, transformation, and lifecycle management of capabilities within a complex training enterprise. This role ensures that capability transition, acquisition, integration, testing, and acceptance are delivered effectively, aligned with strategic objectives, and supportive of training readiness.
Working across multi-disciplinary teams, suppliers, and military stakeholders, the Capability Programme Manager drives the successful transition of legacy systems, introduction of new technologies, and implementation of horizontally integrated services. Lead the planning, management, and delivery of capability transition in line with agreed milestones and the Integrated Test, Evaluation & Acceptance Plan (ITEAP).
Oversee the transition of legacy capabilities, ensuring continuity of service and adherence to GFA (Government Furnished Assets) dependencies.
Conduct capability baselining activities, including system audits, obsolescence reviews, and technical gap analysis.
Develop and maintain Programme Plans, Work Breakdown Structures, dependency maps, and milestone schedules for capability transformation.
Coordinate acquisition plans with suppliers and internal technical teams, ensuring alignment to the Capability Integration Working Groups (CIWGs) and governance forums.
Work closely with the OMNIA Acquisition Team to manage procurement pipelines, supplier performance, contract compliance, and commercial activities.

Who we are looking for:
We’re after individuals who want to serve. You’ll have a mission focus, and the enthusiasm and drive to ‘get things done’. You’ll want to work in collaboration with other defence training organisations, and the British Army. You won’t let bureaucracy get in the way of what needs to be done, you’ll learn lessons and share these lessons across the team.
