This is a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant opportunity within a busy Internal Medicine office in Zephyrhills.  Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. This role is responsible for assisting providers and managing clinic functions within the department.  Experience in a similar role preferred.  Must be organized, good team player, and possess superior customer service skills.

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Complete the start of day processes
  • Properly room patients
  • Assist provider during examinations, procedures, and with treatment
  • Perform diagnostic studies and treatments 
  • Process medication requests
  • Handle patient calls
  • Organize and maintain sample and supply closets
  • Perform incidental duties as needed

Physical and Mental Demands:

 

  • Physical requirements
    • Able to stand or walk for long periods
    • Use of proper body mechanics
  • Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously 

Occupational Exposure:

 

  • High risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent REQUIRED
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program/Medical Assistant CERTIFICATION REQUIRED**
  • Strong team player
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Must be able to perform laboratory services
  • Medical Office experience is highly preferred
