We’re looking for motivated, engaged people to help make everyone’s journeys better.

This position works in the back at the loading docks where the hi-lift trucks come in, taking the unloaded galleys, dismantling the galleys, and moving them into the dish room to be sorted and washed.  The position also moves the bar galleys onto the elevator where it goes to the commissary for dismantling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Separate customer equipment and stage as per assigned locations
  • Empty airline garbage trolleys
  • Wash trolleys and carriers/units
  • Comply with Attendance Policies
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled service and safety meetings
  • Uphold company policies and safety standards

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Work Experience:

  • RAIC highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Ability to obtain a RAIC is required
  • Ability to pass a criminal check is required
  • Previous experience with loading and uploading cargo

Job Skills:

  • Excellent communicator (oral and written), who demonstrates sound judgment, tact, and works well in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to work independently, organize work to ensure full proficiency and productivity is achieved
  • Ability to handle high volume of work and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to be self-motivated  to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to obtain required security clearance
  • Must understand and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, including HACCP
  • Ability to work in an environment that encourages and fosters teamwork, participation, creativity, honesty and mutual respect
  • Knowledge of safe lifting techniques

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills in English required

Environmental Requirements:

  • Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noises
  • This is a physically demanding position- regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours  
  • Requires regular and repetitive heavy lifting (approx. 50lbs)
  • Work overtime when required
  • Ability to work shift work, which includes days, afternoons, nights weekends and holidays
