About The Role: Our Utility Operator supports the shift supervisor in daily plant operations by being proficient in all plant disciplines, assisting with day-to-day execution, and troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities: 

• Supports Day-to-Day Operations: Assists the shift supervisor in running daily operations and resolves basic issues, escalating complex problems as needed

• Ensures Compliance and Safety: Makes sure the team adheres to all safety, quality, and plant policies, including maintaining 5S standards, and addresses unsafe situations

• Maintains Production Reporting: Keeps production monitoring systems and reports up to date to provide clear insight into production status

• Drives Continuous Improvement: Actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and leads problem-solving groups

• Facilitates Communication: Participates in daily and other production meetings to ensure effective communication within the team.

Skills and Expertise  

Qualifications: 

• Knowledgeable in all production functions

• 5+ years chemical manufacturing experience

Expectation from the Role: 

• Able to direct, lead, influence and coach others

• Able to quickly assess and communicate issues

• Solutions-focussed

• Weekend Night Shift (6pm-6am): Week 1 (Fri/Sat/Sun) and Week 2 (Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun)
