Summary

ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Event Manager for ASM. We are seeking an experienced person in event management to join our ASM TEAM.   The Event Manager works for the Sr. Event Manager to direct and coordinate personnel, subcontractors, and daily activities involved in the successful execution of a comprehensive Guest Services Program, Event Services delivery and event management.  This position plays a primary role in fostering a successful working relationship with the primary clientele, City of Jacksonville, and all event promoters.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Sr. Event Manager in planning, coordinating, monitoring, directing, and managing event coordination, operations, security, crowd control, guest and event services, outside contractor service functions, audio/visual services and enforces fire and life safety and ADA compliance.
  • Coordinates and communicates client’s needs in a timely manner to the appropriate internal and external departments and organizations. 
  • Directs and oversees ASM’s operations department in the absence of the Operations Manager.
  • Assist ASM staff to implement security plans, security programs such as Emergency Response and Crisis Management, Physical Security, Information Protection, Incident Management and/or Investigation.
  • Assist in ensuring all Event pertinent information is obtained, compiled and documented with follow-up and distribution to proper entities.  This includes but is not limited to compiling, filing, and distributing event settlements, client invoices, medical service reports, incident reports, ejection and arrest reports.
  • Assist with event management, estimates and customer service as requested by AGM.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Possess excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills, professional presentation, and work ethic.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs, climb stairs, navigate ramps, and stand for prolonged periods of time

Education and/or Experience        

  • High school graduate with some college training.
  • 3 plus year in related experience in the public assembly industry in a support or management position
