Reviewer/Coordinator – Issue Management

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Quantitative Technology Services (QTS) Technology Risk Team is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust technology risk governance and cybersecurity oversight across Capital Markets. We are seeking a candidate to join the Technology Risk Services (TRS) team in support of our issue management function.

This role is critical to RBC’s risk and compliance framework, ensuring that identified findings and issues are thoroughly reviewed, properly documented, and processed in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a key part in clearing significant backlog while establishing quality controls that prevent future accumulation.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of submitted findings within defined SLAs
  • Evaluate the quality and accuracy of findings submissions
  • Assess supporting evidence for compensating controls
  • Identify data quality issues and provide constructive feedback to issue owners
  • Serve as a centralized quality gate by verifying submissions
  • Work with issue owners whose submissions fail to meet standards and provide clear guidance for resubmission
  • Collaborate with domain SMEs, issue owners, and management to ensure consistent application of processes across all business units
  • Track metrics to monitor SLA compliance
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance overall workflow efficiency

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must Have:

  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Strong process knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Experience in issue management, audit compliance, or similar quality assurance functions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency with enterprise systems (like Archer)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving approach
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data quality and process integrity
  • Familiarity with compensating control documentation standards
  • Ability to enforce evidence requirements

Nice-to-Have: Knowledge in

  • Banking Capital Markets industry
  • Technology, Cyber Risk management – Information and Cyber Security, Identity and Access management, Vendor Risk Management, Vulnerability management etc
