The approximate date of this internship is June 2026 to December 2026 and will be located in Orlando, FL. 

What You Will Do  

As a Project Coordination Intern, you will be responsible for coordinating the quality, schedule and scope of Company projects by ensuring streamlined communication, product movement and process flow from concept design through implementation and closeout. The Coordinator must consistently maintain a bottom-up, broad perspective across all teams in order to ensure that all aspects of the work are covered and no efforts are duplicated.  

Walt Disney Imagineering Project Coordination Interns may work in support of a variety of projects, including (but not limited to) the development or redesign of themed entertainment experiences, support of the Play Disney App, or the production of digital media or visual arts projects. You will have the opportunity to… 

  • Work with the creative team on the day-to-day needs of experience design projects 

  • Manage a definable scope of work with the guidance of senior team leaders 

  • Develop and/or maintain scope lists, show lists, deliverable matrixes, shipping documents 

  • Gather design input and distribute communication 

  • Monitor meetings and other communications and provide updates as vital in order to ensure accurate integration and to resolve issues in a timely manner 

  • Partner with various teams to create physical and digital presentations throughout a project’s life cycle 

  • Coordinate mockups and vendor liaison issues 

  • Connect with more senior level Project Coordinators, Producers, Show Managers, Project Managers, and team Leads relative to status updates of schedule progress, design inputs required, completion of design achievements, metrics on earned value, etc 

  • Work on a self-contained and defined project

  • Coordinate and integrate project information with internal and external 
    organizations including project team, creative and design studios, operations, 
    municipalities, vendors, and contractors

  • Conduct research in support of creative development including (but not limited 
    to) historical content, artwork, imagery, architectural reference.

Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Photoshop, and Illustrator 

  • Ability to edit video clips within a presentation is vital 

  • Understanding of creative development/process and workflow for sophisticated projects 

  • Ability to integrate collaboration within the project team 

  • Appreciation for an integrated design and production experience with multiple teams 

  • Valid driver’s license 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Minimum 1-year related project management experience  

Education  

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree in theater, environmental design, or other entertainment or business-related fields 

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information 

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: 

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship  

  • Be at least 18 years of age  

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization  

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
