The Electromechanical Assembler performs electrical heater panel and wire harness assembly as well as conducts testing on heaters, upgrade kits, modules, Teflon cells, refurbished heater systems and sub-assemblies. In this position the individual is proficient in reading and interpreting wiring schematics and following work instructions to assemble panels and wire harnesses safely and properly. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to industry standards. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Assemble electrical heater panels and wire harnesses according to schematics and technical specifications
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly
  • Perform precise cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering of wires and cables
  • Check assemblies for proper fit, adjusting and replacing parts and components as required
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies for quality and functionality
  • Rework faulty systems or module assemblies, replacing parts if necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  • Document and report any discrepancies or issues encountered during the assembly process
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality standards
  • Continuously improve assembly techniques and processes for efficiency and accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned

Other Job Duties

  • Transports parts to be tested and completed parts to appropriate area for shipping, stocking, or rework
  • Prepare and crate heater systems for shipment
  • Determines product rejects for rework or scrap and completes required paperwork
  • Participates in organizing statistical quality control

 Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions

  • Ability to: lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, write by hand, basic computer skills, and operate simple hand tools used to crimp, cut, strip and measure.
  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing continuously. Communication is in person.
  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work, computer use and reading assembly drawings and work instructions.

Job Conditions

  • General manufacturing environment.
  • Minimal Chemical PPE in some areas.
  • May require working with hazardous substances such as but not limited to Acids, Bases, Acetone and Isopropyl Alcohol.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of Proven experience in electromechanical assembly, specifically with electrical panels and wire harnesses.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in assembly work
  • Ability to use hand tools, soldering equipment, and testing instruments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively train other team members on product lines
  • AA degree in Applied Technology or equivalent is preferred
  • IPC 610 certification or similar technical certification required
