Based in Vienna, Austria, this role will be employed by Western Union International Bank (WUIB) and offers a unique opportunity to influence governance and risk management at a strategic level within a dynamic, international environment. 

Role Responsibilities 

  • Plan, design, lead, and execute internal audits 

  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and audit standards 

  • Manage audit projects and evaluate internal controls/processes 

  • Identify findings and present recommendations to stakeholders 

  • Assess and mitigate business risks with senior leadership 

  • Monitor and report progress against the annual audit plan 

  • Lead/participate in audits (Treasury, Risk, Finance, Payments, MiFID, etc.) 

  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior boards and committees 

 

Role Requirements 

  • Internal Audit experience in Banking & Finance 

  • Experience in the Payments industry 

  • Strong knowledge of regulations, risk, and audit standards 

  • Leadership and audit project management experience 

  • Cross-functional collaboration skills 

  • Supervisory/team leadership experience 

  • Fluency in both English and German required

Salary 

We are under legal obligation to indicate the minimum salary, which is EUR 90.000 gross per year for this position. However, our attractive compensation packages follow current market salaries and can therefore be significantly above the indicated minimum salary.
