Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Principal Solutions Architect (multiple positions) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Guide the development teams to solve problems via the use of solutions architecture, leveraging bank frameworks and platforms.

  • Work across the organization to foster iterative, autonomous development and future scaling.

  • Set the direction of the architectural roadmap.

  • Determine the Return-on-Investment for specific engineering initiatives.

  • Establish engineering strategic objectives that drive architecture and technical approach.

  • Drive and set the culture of quality and timely code reviews.

  • Actively work with the security team to set and refine organization-wide security strategy.

  • Promote delivery of features with minimal disruption to production.

  • Responsible for executing product roadmap on-time and within budget. Identify and manage technical and business risks.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience as a Software Developer or in a related occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 3 years of experience with each of the following:

(1) Product design

(2) Designing and developing APIS, and

(3) Database design

(4) Working with product owners to establish production direction and technology solutions

(5) Automation, Cassandra, Confluence, CI/CD, GraphQL, Java, JIRA, Kafka, Maven, REST, and SPARK.

Hybrid schedule available upon manager approval. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $161,096.00 - $213,500.00.
