Our Business Intelligence Team delivers services, solutions, and support to a diverse range of customers, including financial institutions, corporations, universities, government agencies, executives, and business professionals. We focus on helping our clients make informed decisions with trusted data and insights.
As a Client Engagement Specialist (CES), you will manage all renewal aspects for a defined set of customers. Your focus will be on retaining contract revenue within existing accounts and supporting new sales into these accounts in partnership with Business Development Managers.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client business needs are met consistently and renewals are successful. Your goal: drive high retention rates and strengthen the revenue base for Dow Jones.
Retention
Own the retention strategy for assigned strategic accounts, building and executing renewal plans.
Proactively identify high-risk renewal accounts and share turnaround strategies with management and the team.
Partner with Product Training Specialists to ensure customers receive adequate training and achieve high product usage.
Oversee the full renewal lifecycle — from pricing and contracting with the Account Executive to invoicing and ongoing client support.
Support additional sales into existing accounts to maximize customer ROI.
Customer Knowledge
Build deep account knowledge, including understanding client business groups, industry trends, competitor solutions, and evolving needs.
Develop strong relationships with client decision-makers and stakeholders.
Act as a client advocate, sharing feedback and market intelligence with Product, Content, and Marketing teams.
Lead Generation
Identify opportunities for account growth through upselling or cross-selling.
Collaborate with sales team members to act on these opportunities.
Maintain accurate client records in internal systems, using phone and email for most client communications.
2–4 years of proven success in client engagement, customer success, or account management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Excellent project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
Experience with Salesforce and Tableau (preferred).
