JD Group is looking for a Building Services Technician to join our Rochdale Distribution Centre! 

This positions offer an exceptional opportunity to become an integral part of the Kingsway operation. You will be reporting to the Building Services Manager and working as part of the building services and safety team. 

Meeting the challenge to ensure the building, landscaping and offices are always maintained to the highest standard and fully operational. 

·       Job Title – Building Services Technician

·       Location – OL16 4FW

·       Working rota – 4 days on 4 days off

·       Working hours – 12 hours per day

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Building Services Technician, you'll be doing the following: 

• You'll be assisting in the first line assessment of building related emergencies, breakdowns and problems.
• You'll be conducting joinery tasks including replacing door handles, hinges, door closers, adjusting doors, refitting wire cables for warehouse doors, fitting notice boards, etc. 
• You'll be supporting with plumbing tasks replacing taps, toilet seats, toilet flushes, isolating leaks, clearing blockages.
• You'll be replacing lamps, broken facia plates, as well as completing minor refurbishment and redecoration works as part of an ongoing schedule of works to keep the site in a good condition.

What We're Looking For:

• Practical knowledge of buildings and building services.
• IPAF license is essential. 
• Must be able to react to business requirement. 
• Must have a can-do attitude and a flexible approach to working hours.
