The Sr. Salesforce Business Analyst will lead high value projects related to Salesforce in an agile development environment, working with business stakeholders, technical staff, and partners to deliver solutions that improve sales and sales support productivity and effectiveness through automation, process improvement, user experience, and analytics. The Sr. Salesforce Business Analyst will evaluate enhancement requests from end users to determine need, feasibility, and offer recommendations to optimize platform functionality and gain consensus among key business stakeholders on harmonized functional requirements with suggested prioritization based on anticipated business impact.


To deliver these solutions, the ideal candidate will become an expert in Ingredion’s business environment, how Salesforce is currently being utilized, and how it can be continuously improved to align with and support business objectives, strategies, and processes. You will lead requirements-gathering sessions, develop product roadmap recommendations, contribute to planning and prioritizing the work to be done, and oversee testing and change management activities and other project work required to bring solutions to light. Ideally you are a diligent, hardworking individual who learns new functions and processes rapidly, and consistently delivers outstanding results.

Additionally, the right candidate will advance CRM analytics to provide actionable insights for Go-To-Market teams and the broader organization to optimize business decisions and identify growth opportunities. This role is well-versed in business process documentation and will be expected to maintain documentation of CRM processes.

The position reports directly to the Global CRM Manager working closely with the Global IT function and Regional CRM business leads and other stakeholders to support an integrated approach to Commercial Excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work with the business to identify opportunities for driving sales productivity and effectiveness through technology, data, and process improvement.
  • Manage the product roadmap, prioritization, release planning, and delivery of key features for the business processes and technologies you oversee.
  • Perform the Senior Business Analyst role in often complex technical projects, overseeing requirements gathering, research, testing, deployment, documentation, training, communication, and user enablement.
  • Manage, track, and ensure the timely resolution of risks, blockers, issues, and bugs.
  • Review, test, and measure business impact of CRM enhancements to ensure they are providing business value and delivering expected ROI. Develop test cases and user acceptance testing (UAT) plans. Develop best practices for and oversee business user acceptance testing.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases as well as relevant solutions and best practices in the marketplace, evaluating and implementing new features and solutions, as required.
  • Develop training materials and, in collaboration with Regional CRM Leads and Power Users, facilitate end user training sessions on the Salesforce.com application.
  • Measure and report on performance, achievements, and outcomes.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic business issues involving CRM.
  • Partner with Salesforce and other partner vendor Customer Success management teams to drive engagement, adoption and utilization, and capability development.

This position is well-suited for you if you bring:

  • A passion for customers, demonstrated business acumen and digital first mindset
  • Experience managing and or implementing technology enabled end-to-end Customer Relationship Management and familiarity with Sales, Marketing and or Commercial processes
  • Understanding of the lead-to-cash processes, preferably within a B2B manufacturing environment
  • Process orientation with analytical skills to identify and tap improvement opportunities  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and influence various levels of the organization across functions and or a variety of cultures/geographies
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience, working in a B2B environment and/or the manufacturing industry, preferably within the food, nutritional, specialty chemical industries or other relevant B2B environments

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibility and impact in the areas of business analysis, product management, data analysis, system administration, solution architecture, or business intelligence
  • Salesforce certification is highly desired (e.g., Admin, Advanced Admin, Sales Cloud Consultant)
  • Deep Salesforce expertise, or translatable experience working with other CRM platforms, including system administration, user setup and maintenance, role hierarchy, profiles & permissions, security, page layouts, objects, fields, workflow, approval processes, formulas, queues, assignment rules, and data management
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred
  • Experience in leading and managing complex projects with corresponding change management
  • Ability to drive results through collaboration, influence, relationship-building, and teamwork
  • Experience with software development methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and solve complex problems with focus on simplicity and scalability
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 15%+ of the time

Pay Range:

$78,700.00-$104,966.67 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
