Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Smart Hands (IT) Support – Data Center to join our Service Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical on-site technical assistance, ranging from hardware installations to complex network and server support, to ensure seamless data center operations. You will work closely with the Service Assurance Manager to maintain high standards of uptime and reliability.
In this role, you will:
Responsibility 1: Lead the physical installation, racking, and cabling of servers and networking equipment to ensure high-quality hardware deployment and efficient inventory management.
Responsibility 2: Collaborate with remote engineers to troubleshoot hardware issues, execute configuration changes, and perform component upgrades that maintain system integrity.
Responsibility 3: Ensure compliance with data center access, safety, and security procedures while maintaining accurate documentation for audit and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
2 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) hardware or data center operations.
Strong knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware, including familiarity with copper and fiber cabling standards.
Proven ability in technical problem-solving and following complex technical diagrams to assist remote teams in incident resolution.
