The Opportunity

In this leadership role, you will guide a team of 8–10 design engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical drawings and models while driving innovation and efficiency. You’ll coordinate resources, prioritize projects, and serve as the main technical contact across departments including development, production, and quality assurance. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you’ll also play a vital role in optimizing CAD and SAP processes and mentoring your team through coaching and training. How you'll make an impact

• Professional and organizational leadership of a team of approximately 8–10 design engineers

• Planning and coordination of resources as well as prioritization of ongoing projects and tasks

• Main point of contact for technical questions and close collaboration with development, production, quality assurance, and project management

• Ensuring high quality of drawings, models, and technical documentation

• Independent handling of complex design tasks and implementation of design optimizations

• Active participation in the continuous improvement of processes, standards, and tools in the CAD and SAP environment

• Promotion and development of team members through targeted coaching and training measures

Your background

• Completed training as a design engineer (EFZ), technician (HF), or a degree in mechanical/design engineering

• Several years of experience in mechanical design, ideally with technical insulators or similar products

• Initial leadership experience or strong coordination skills

• Proficient in CAD design (preferably Creo/ PTC) and experienced with SAP

• Solid understanding of ISO-GPS standards for dimensional, form, and positional tolerances

• Strong communication, assertiveness, and leadership enthusiasm; fluent in German, with good English skills preferred
