About the Role

MicroAire is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure that incoming materials, components, and subassemblies meet established product specifications and regulatory requirements. This individual plays a critical role in safeguarding product quality by performing precise inspections, supporting troubleshooting activities, and partnering with engineering teams to maintain high standards across the manufacturing process.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on work, detailed measurement and documentation, and contributing directly to the quality and reliability of life‑changing medical devices.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect and verify mechanical parts, cleanroom components, and subassemblies.
  • Operate manual inspection tools, open set‑ups, and automated measurement systems (Micro‑Vu, Instron, Comparator).
  • Accurately document inspection results using both paper and electronic systems, including ERP tools.
  • Support Quality Engineering by evaluating potentially discrepant materials and assisting with root cause analysis.
  • Perform final inspections on finished products and subassemblies as needed.
  • Collaborate with design, sustaining engineering, and operations teams on various projects.
  • Recommend improvements to inspection methods, workflows, and documentation processes.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities that align with company values.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous mechanical inspection or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (required).
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (preferred).
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office required. ERP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to accurately analyze, interpret, and report measurement data.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and consistency.
  • Positive continuous‑improvement mindset and strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent dexterity and visual acuity; ability to walk, sit, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
