Position:

LendingTree is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a team of data engineers. We have an exciting opportunity to develop and scale our home-grown data platform that powers our Business Intelligence reports, Analytics, and Marketplace technologies.

This professional will be passionate about data engineering and building streaming data pipelines, will be a big-picture thinker, and will work with partners across Marketing, Product, Data Science, Analytics, Contact Center, and Technology teams to deliver on enterprise data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality, innovative data integration solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Create real-time streaming data pipelines for multiple sources and data types.
  • Develop and support Marketplace data integrations spanning multiple verticals and LendingTree’s lines of business.
  • Engage in seamless collaboration with Engineers, Data Architects, Data Product Owners, and Business Owners to execute project tasks efficiently.
  • Develop and manage technical documentation to ensure clarity and accessibility.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide support during off-hours.

Must have Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in implementing data services using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Services.
  • Strong experience with Messaging and event Streaming technologies like Kafka, AWS Kinesis, AWS SQS and SNS etc.
  • Strong experience with Cloud Based Data Warehousing and Analytics Platform like Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift etc.
  • Proficient in data transformation and orchestration tools like dbt, Apache Airflow, etc.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling and data vault modeling.
  • Ability to design, implement, and support data integration projects with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in building and supporting serverless architecture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in at least 1 programming language (python, Java, Scala etc.)
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases and data warehouse models.

Additional Experience Preferred:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
  • Experience with Snowflake clustering, hybrid tables, materialized views, and dynamic tables.
