What this job involves

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Sr. Facilities Manager to join our team: 

  • Location: Gurabo, Puerto Rico. 

  • Work scheduleMonday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (available to work outside central work schedule).

  • Work model: On site. 

  • Contract Type: Indefinite-term. 

 

This Sr. Facility Manager role oversees operations, leads teams, and manages client relationships. They ensure compliance, handle finances, coordinate with vendors, and drive strategic goals. Key responsibilities include maintaining high-quality service delivery, fostering team development, and aligning operations with organizational objectives while meeting contractual obligations and client expectations. 

 

What is your day to day?

  • Lead and operate assigned facilities, manage the team, and oversee contractors to meet client expectations and contractual KPIs.

  • Maintain a trusted advisor relationship with the client, ensure client satisfaction, provide periodic reports, and develop recovery plans when necessary.

  • Create high-performing teams, develop succession plans, set goals aligned with organizational objectives, and foster professional growth among team members.

  • Monitor compliance of services, including quality, safety, and financial commitments, and achieve contractual KPIs.

  • Coordinate with primary vendors, maximize utilization of preferred suppliers and M/WBE companies, and collaborate with the Sourcing team.

  • Manage the account's financial performance, develop operational and capital budgets, and generate variance reports.

  • Drive high-quality results, identify expansion opportunities, and ensure effective integration of project delivery services and facilities management operations.

  • Establish operational policies and budgets, delegate tasks and responsibilities, and direct the achievement of project milestones and deadlines.

  

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in facility management or related field.
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget development and management.
  • Experience with contract management and vendor relations.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Advanced level of English.

  • In-depth knowledge of facility operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
