As a Manager Human Resources – Level 3, located in Redondo Beach CA, you will support missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
As the Senior Human Resources Manager for Engineering, you will drive strategic human capital strategies across disciplines in support of our Engineering organization, providing HR guidance and counsel to leaders, managers, and the HR team. Initiatives include succession planning and talent development, organizational design and change, reward and recognition, compensation planning, organizational effectiveness, managing performance and conduct, employee relations, and staffing.
In this job, you will:
Establish and leverage a solid understanding of the Engineering organization, building and expanding relationships across Space Engineering, Manufacturing & Operations, Divisions, Functions, and creating close partnerships across HR centers of excellence (COE's) to develop strategic human capital recommendations and solutions to address staffing, retention, engagement and development needs.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization to advise leadership on talent decisions and actions.
Provide business insight through data analytics, research and benchmarking to inform and recommend solutions to enable business growth and/or support business integration.
Play a key change leadership role in the company's transformation by reinforcing a culture of growth and innovation. Driving integration and change management initiatives to evolve organizational capability and improve our operating model.
Manage leadership development and succession planning initiatives to prepare leaders for future roles.
Coach and consult with business leaders to build leadership depth and address critical role/skill needs. Partner with leadership and the HR team on employee development plans.
Consult with leadership on managing performance and conduct. Partner with the business on complex and comprehensive investigations and determine organizational corrective actions.
Lead a team of HR Business Partners by providing day-to-day guidance, flow-down, coaching and support to optimize performance.
Serve as the HR Business Partner to an internal customer base, including individual contributors through the senior director level.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional human resources experience including people management experience – OR – master’s degree with 6+ years of professional human resources experience including people management experience.
Demonstrated success in building or enhancing a collaborative work environment with the capacity to understand people issues impacting the business.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, implement and close multiple complex projects simultaneously on various HR work streams to meet schedule and commitments.
Proven ability to listen, communicate, collaborate, and influence effectively across all levels within the organization.
Excellent business acumen; leveraging HR processes, tools and data analytics to accelerate business results and enhance the employee experience.
Change management experience, problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current DoD Top-Secret security clearance.
Previous experience in Aerospace & Defense and/or government contracting.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms and technology (Workday, Confluence, SharePoint).
